The American Vision: Daguerreotypes
 from the collection of Mark Koenigsberg

   Mark Koenigsberg began collecting daguerreotypes while he was a graduate student at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1975. His eclectic collecting interests range from the occupational and scenic daguerreotype to the unusual image that includes multiple exposures, images showing the American flag, and images in which the photographer "signed" his work photographically in the image. Mark can tell many stories of images that "got away" (or that were considered overpriced at the time) but fortunately, many of the images that he encountered over the years were carefully assembled into the collection.
